Release 0.2a0?

Perhaps an unconventional release number (except for CVS pre-releases)
but I thought it might be nice to get out a release that is simply a
functioning version of the 0.2 architecture with the 0.1 functionality
(i.e. without menus and dialogs), mainly in the interest of releasing
something as soon as possible.

Any opinions? Objections?

What major obstacles remain before such a pre-release? Dallas: How are
the models coming along?
