Dear Biopythoneers, The release is nearly done, including the new alternative API documentation. Just the wheels to finish (Linux ones have started, Windows and macOS to follow - fingers crossed), post-release version bump, and the formality of the blog post announcement. I'm looking forward to dropping epydoc for the next release (it doesn't work on Python 3, and wouldn't install on my main machine against the system Python - I had to run that on a separate machine which was a hassle), focusing our efforts on the Sphinx apidoc output instead: https://biopython.org/docs/1.74/api/ <-- release API docs https://biopython.org/docs/dev/api/ <-- latest master branch This will replace the old epydoc output: https://biopython.org/DIST/docs/api/ Please file issues for any issues, including regressions, e.g. https://github.com/biopython/biopython/issues/2174 Thanks, Peter On Fri, Jul 12, 2019 at 6:57 PM Peter Cock <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hello all, especially the other developers, > > We’re again overdue for a Biopython release, especially to have this done before the annual update talk at BOSC later this month. > > I should be able to do the release Tuesday 16 July, so please hold off merging any major changes for now. > > My time to review the pull request back log before then will be limited - if there are there any specific issues we can address before then, please comment on GitHub. > > I would particularly like to merge the new Sphinx API Documentation branch: > > https://lists.open-bio.org/pipermail/biopython/2019-July/016632.html > > > Thank you all, > > Peter _______________________________________________ Biopython mailing list - [email protected] https://mailman.open-bio.org/mailman/listinfo/biopython
