That's great! We keep getting UnicodeDecodeErrors as well here, and it often involves manual compiling and inspection, and sometimes also dirty "print foo" magic directly added in the installed cheetah modules with sudo :-) :-) :-) I just installed the rc2 on our dev servers and tested the new error handling, it's way more useful. Apart from the fact that Unicode errors (and NameMapper errors) are hard to debug, everything's fine for us with this release. It is used in production with success and happily serves half a million of requests everyday. I still have a random python segfault sometimes, but couldn't find out where it comes from yet. Hope it does not come from the name mapper shared object :-) It might also be caused by any of the other third-party Python modules I'm using.
