It's not clear where you would place the blame. CherryPy is sending a 302 redirect here. I just wrote a trivial PHP page with a 302 redirect, and the browser address bar certainly updates. (Same with 301 and 303 redirects.) That's all straight HTTP -- there's nothing CherryPy can do to impact it. Is your CherryPy site visible on the internet? I'd like to try it from here and see what is different.
