我没有研究过locale相关的主题。

这里只是猜测一下，没有big5 locale的话，支持多内码的编辑器，实际上是不是把内码转换成utf8来显示，存储的时候再转存回big5？

如果有的话，直接调用big5的回显就行了。

上面都是猜测，我还不知道locale和系统文字显示，还有字体之间的关系。

这些内容还真得找时间来补补。

编辑器的编码跟系统编码是独立的
在 Linux 下也不需要 locale 呀,
我就没 big5 的 locale, 但是 gvim, gedit, kate 都一样可以选 utf8, gbk, big5 编码.
Windows 下靠谱的编辑器也一样可以自己选编码的
