I'm one of these users, and it's because there are
now C modules that can be compiled that speed up
RSA and DSA operations.  These are only in CVS as
far as I know.

Also, I noticed that the download link from
http://www.amk.ca/python/code/crypto.html gives a
403 Forbidden error, but that's unrelated. :)
