Dear list!

Thanx to all of you for suggestions & tips. Turns out, it was a 64bit vs 32bit
issue! I never had to do with this before... Now, if somebody could tell me
how to compile Python on a Linux 64bit as a 32bit application. Seems to be a
non-trivial thing...
