I've been looking into the vtable layout used in MSVC and it seems
relatively straightforward to call object methods in a C++ DLL from
Python, however my understanding is that the 'this' pointer has to be
passed in ECX when making the call. I can see it wouldn't be so
hard to 'hack' this into libffi, but first wondered if there were
any other projects with code that already do this, or indeed any
plans to incorporate it into ctypes?

thanks,
Biff.

PS: Yes, I know there are a bunch of caveats regarding portability
but don't care.
