We tried compiling python with "--with-pydebug" and psycopg with
PSYCOPG_DEBUG set. We now get a new problem, with the application failing at
this assertion:

"python: Modules/gcmodule.c:260: update_refs: Assertion `gc->gc.gc_refs !=
0' failed."

Googling the above issue did not prove very helpful.

Avoiding "--with-pydebug" when compiling python seems to avoid this problem,
but then backtrace output does not seem to have any additional information.

Is there something we need to be doing differently?
