And when installing the mingw compiled pysqlite-2.5.0.win32-py2.6.exe
the performance is considerably slower:

Python 2.6 with pysqlite-2.5.0.win32-py2.6.exe:
  pysqlite: 2.5.0 -- SQLite: 3.6.1
  1.711 sec (avg. of 10 runs)
