I tried the latest devel and that still fails. Normally I would create a virtual environment to do the pyRXP build, but 
I don't understand the multibuild OSX/travis environment well enough to know if I can do that sensibly. Presumably this 
problem arises because   we are using a native python for 2.7.

I raised an issue in github.
