[f2py] hi, advice

Hi, I'm new user... I'd like to make apython interface of a big fortram program to use his module in scripting and in other program using python. I have the source code of course, and the issue is that sthe single *.f files, whe compiled normally, use part of code from other *.f files. So my question is, Does f2py recognize these dependances or I have to edit the code manually. If anyone can suggest to me any tutorial os guide related to the specific problem I wuold be glad.
