[f2py] Location of f2py's output

When running f2py with -c, I'd like the output location of the resulting .so
file to be somewhere other than the current directory. How do I do this? I can't
see anything in the f2py or f2py2e documentation which relates to this, nor do
the man page or command line enlighten as to this point. I found nothing via
Google, Stack Overflow etc.

Any help gratefully received! This is my first post here, I'm very much a newbie,
as you can probably tell!
