Hi, Thanks for the tests. IIRC this bugged TG widgets before so it rolled out it's own UnicodeString validator in http://trac.turbogears.org/ browser/branches/1.0/turbogears/validators.py#L117 which seems to work fine, maybe it helps. twForms will proably include TG's version but I guess the fix would be better upstream at FE.
