I got the link from the response.  I don't believe it has been announced 
here before, hence I was not aware of it.

The material at that link *might* become a chapter or addendum to the 
general devguide.  Or put in idlelib.

On my list of todo's.  I know enough now to write such discriptions.  So 
I should do so.

I already wrote idlelib/idle_test/README.txt as a 'devguide' for writing 
and running Idle tests.  I refer back to it myself for forgotten details.
