PIL 1.1.7 for Python 2.7 installation problem

Hello, I have Python 2.7.1. I would like to instal PIL 1.1.7 for Python 2.7. During the setup the blue background of PIL1.1.7 becomes translucent white and the computer freezes. What is the problem?
