conversion from .tif to .jpeg

Hi there, I tried to convert .tif to .jpeg format, it works for most of the files but in some cases (at least one) I got this error message Error Message at opening: cannot identify image file In the folder where the corrupt .tif lies are 19 more .tif files which were made at the same time with the same tool all the other works except the special one. I am pleased for any help.
