And you will be even right-er if you accompany the above with a PR that contains the lovely required diagrams ;) Yes, this is an admission that we've been pretty lousy at building nice user-facing explanations of all this, with illustrations when needed. We do hope later this year to make solid progress on our docs front, if a few badly needed resources materialize. In the meantime, PRs from the community that help on this front will be welcome!
