JOB DESCRIPTION:

The software engineer works as members of the software development team, wh=
ere in he assists in development of products and services. As a member of t=
he team he should be a good team player and build strong relationships with=
in and across teams. He would report to his TEAM Leader.

   JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Includes, but not limited to:=20=20



    2+ years of solid embedded systems expertise
   Domain expertise in telecommunications, preferably in terminal architect=
ures=20=20=20=20
   Solid programming experience in C/C++ languages, COM/CORBA knowledge is =
a plus
   Good understanding of product development lifecycle & SW Engineering lif=
ecycle
   Has worked with one/more product development projects (mobile terminals)
    Solid understanding of one/more Embedded OS, Development tools and syst=
em design
   Good knowledge of design patterns and design of re-use
   Understanding of memory, performance and power management issues in term=
inals
    In-depth understanding of terminal architectures and software layers (H=
W to APPS)
   Solid presentation skills and ability to pro-actively collect informatio=
n
   Ability to co-operate/work with/mentor a team
   Tracking and maintaining schedules.=20
   Unit Test/Integration Test Design and execution.=20
   Can also be involved in End to End product test design and tools (Inter-=
operability testing, Conformance testing /Type approval, Requirements to te=
st traceability.=20

REQUIRED SKILLS:

   Requires a minimum of 2+ years of minimum relevant work experience.=20
   Must have a domain understanding of Telecom/Mobile technologies/Embedded
   Should posses strong expertise in C or C++ programming=20
   Operating systems like UNIX and RTOS like OSE, REX, pSOS / Vx works/ Sym=
bian etc
