Happened across this just now and thought it somewhat interesting: http://developers.slashdot.org/developers/04/08/12/1721239.shtml?tid=156&tid=218 The commentary seems to be pretty representative of perceptions and barriers to Python acceptance so I thought it worth posting here. Also, I think I'm seeing more well-thought-out positive comments and less of the usual "whitespace=yuck" nonsense than in past Python related slashdot posts. This might indicate more slashdotters have tried Python on a non-trivial task.
