[ The pydesign list seemed quite dead, so I'm reposting here. ] Hi, I've asked my good and multi-talented friend Michael Welch to design some new logos for Python. The old logos weren't as clean/professional as they could be (compared to, e.g., Java, and the O'Reilly logos, which I think are good examples). I felt it was hurting acceptance of Python a bit. These are first drafts. Please provide feedback, and I'll forward it to Michael (he might join the discussion himself later, but not now). Logo 1: http://www.exoweb.net/Members/bjorn/python_logo1.gif Logo 2: http://www.exoweb.net/Members/bjorn/python_logo2.gif I like #1 quite a lot, and the black version of #2. Very clean, stylistic, modern. I think a requirement is for the logo to work well in one color, but it is very nice to also to have a two color option. Regards, -- Bjorn Stabell <[email protected]>
