[python-advocacy] Publicizing Python 2.5

Assuming the release plans go as scheduled, Python 2.5final should be
out in about two weeks.  We should try to ensure that the release gets
some visibility.  What can we do?

My ideas:

* Prepare a brief letter/press release about 2.5.  Do we still have a list of
  reporter e-mails?

* Make a list of people who can knowledgeably talk about the new release 
  to a journalist.

* Ensure that there are articles about 2.5 on oreillynet.com, Ars Technica,
  other relevant sites.  (Anyone have a list?)  This probably requires
  connecting authors with sites.

What other promotional possibilities can you think of?
