Coming from Visual Studio, Visual Python looked really promising.
Too bad it's so expensive. I haven't tried WingIDE but I've
been given a beta to check out.

Ah well, that could take a long explanation. I left my job as a Principal
Consultant
at Microsoft UK a year ago and got into Open Source. I was pretty impressed
when
I discovered Python. Here's my related blog entry:
