Problem compiling mod_python

Hello all. I am having problems compiling mod_python3.3.1 with apache 
2.2.11.  Also we are using python 2.6.2. When I run  the make command I 
get the following errors (see below). Can someone help me with this?!?

    # *make gives the following:*

    *make[1]: *** [mod_python.so] Error 1
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/sources/mod_python-3.3.1/src'
    make: *** [do_dso] Error 2
