This was something I had promised to address in the way outlined
in my replies.
I have now committed a proposed enhancement that provides
ConcatSignal() with and interface which is similar to concat()
for constants, meaning one can use constrained intbv's, bools,
and bitstrings expressed in a string.
Documentation still to be updated.
