Hi all,

Please join me in welcoming Kumar (https://github.com/kumaraditya303) to
the NumPy maintainers team.

Kumar is a CPython core developer where he helps maintain asyncio and has
been actively working on areas across the interpreter, including the JIT
and issues on the free-threaded build. Over the past six months he has been
contributing to NumPy to improve performance on the free-threaded build and
enable downstream projects to use Python 3.15's new free-threaded stable
ABI.

I hope that Kumar's deep expertise in CPython internals and the C API can
help us improve the codebase. Among other things, he's currently thinking
about a view-tracking system for NumPy, to enable truly safe concurrent
sharing of ndarrays and buffer protocol buffers.
