Initial Comment:
Importing the OpenGL.Tk module currently automatically
creates a Tkinter root.  Would be nice if this was only
done if there is no root when creating an actual
widget.  Work-around is to do:

from Tkinter import *
my_root = Tk()
from OpenGL.Tk import *

But that's sub-optimal.
