Hello,

Following up on my troubles with togl I copied some other peoples ideas
to make a work-around using ctypes and pyopengl to create a context for
tkinter. It has been very lightly tested on windows and linux/X11.
Perhaps useful to other people? I would be be very happy if something
like it could be found in pyopengl (for my own purposes I think I can
just copy a file into my projects, so don't feel obliged to try to
maintain/debug this). I put a copy of it here:

https://github.com/jonwright/pyopengltk

It is based on other peoples work [1,2,3]. Feedback is welcome -
especially if someone has a mac and could get it working there too.

Best,

Jon
