Should be even easier now: I've checked in the message catalog (.pot
file) for Optik and a rough French translation.  If you're willing and
able to help translate Optik's mere 18 built-in strings [1], please check
out the latest CVS version of Optik and take a look at po/optik.pot.

Native French-speakers should definitely do so, in order to finish my
incomplete translation and correct my errors.  ;-)
