Gee, you should have asked here before going to the trouble -- Terrel Shumway did this a year or two back (to support SCons, if I remember correctly). I don't think he ever updated his port to Optik 1.4.1 though. Terrel's work is available on a branch of the Optik CVS tree: py152-backport-branch. Those who care about Optik working under Python 1.5.2 should use this list to coordinate their work. (I don't care, so this has to be user-driven.) Terrel has checkin privs; anyone else who wants to checkin to py152-backport-branch to update to the latest version of Optik, ask away.
