Yes. Unfortunately, I don't know what it is. I just took a patch from
SourceForge and applied it, then asked around for translations. I'm
sure there's something you'll need to do at application-level to make
gettext() actually translate Optik's strings, but I don't know what it
is.
Perhaps the author of that patch, Leon J. Breedt, could help -- hence
I'm cc'ing him on this message.
