Thanks for kicking me in the backside, David.  Optik now has a public
Subversion repository here:

  svn://starship.python.net/optik

(No HTTP access just yet, sorry.)  You can check out the trunk with

  svn co svn://starship.python.net/optik/trunk optik

or a tagged version with

  svn co svn://starship.python.net/optik/tags/optik-1.5a2

For checkin privileges, you need a starship.python.net login account,
and you need to be in the svn-optik group.  Currently, that's just me
and David, who can checkout like this:

  svn co svn+ssh://starship.python.net/optik/trunk optik

(Subversion also has a very simple way to grant access to
people without login accounts, which is an option if anyone else wants
checkin privs.)

David, please proceed gingerly.  This is my first attempt at a public
Subversion repository, and my first attempt at a multi-user Subversion
repository.  (In particular, I don't think there's nothing stopping you
from checking in changes under /tags -- ugh.)

Oh, if you want to setup a hook for emailing checkins, by my guest --
starship:/home/svn/optik/conf is where the action is, and you should
have sufficient privileges to do what you need.
