Shame on me. Of course, I should have subclassed the OptionParser and not do such trickery as I did! Oh boy I feel blind. Thanks for enlightment. What comes to Greg's suggestion, it sounds good. I would like to have multiple paragraphs in the description. However, how could I provide the kind of usage I posted earlier? What if there are regular paragraphs and then a special paragraph like the test case list in my usage? Shall I then provide multiple paragraphs in a list *and* override the formatting method? In the formatting method, I would call parent implementation for all but the last paragraph? Anyway, I'm quite happy with the subclassing solution. ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
