I agree with Laurent's opinion, coming from a C/C++ background I find it 
more intuitive to have a multi line string than a list of paragraphs, 
and paragraphs split by an empty line can then be easily introduced with 
\n\n.

Given that, both ideas'll work fine by me, so I vote for the 
implementation of whichever you like best.
