Yeah, every so often I wish Optik did this. Have never really sat down
and figured out the right design, though. I took a quick look at what
you have done, and I think I would prefer something more tightly
integrated into OptionParser -- I'd like to do option parsing and
positional arg parsing with single parse_args() call. (After all, it's
parse_args(), not parse_opts()!)
I'll go read your code carefully, but *not* until I have checked Optik
1.5.1 into Python's svn tree to get into 2.5a2!
