There are some weird problems with the Optik test script: it requires
that you run "python setup.py build" before running it, so there's a
little check at the top of test_optik.py. But it appears that this test
doesn't always work, so sometimes the test marches on even if you
*haven't* run "setup.py build". Bottom line: always run "setup.py
build". If there are *still* tests broken, let's see 'em!
