skipHours in generated RSS feeds?

I've noticed that the RSS feeds PyDS generates for my weblog have all 24 hours set in the skipHours element, which means that aggregators aren't picking up any changes. If I read the source correctly, it looks as if the weblog tool is supposed to look back over the last 100 updates and automatically figure out what hours to omit from skipHours. Is this correct?
