Hi,

Pyro 4.22 has just been released!

Get it from Pypi: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Pyro4/
Or straight from Github: https://github.com/irmen/Pyro4
Documentation: http://pythonhosted.org/Pyro4/index.html

Overview of new stuff in this version:
 - support multiple serializers in daemon
 - new wire protocol (46), new Pyro4.message module
 - you can write pyro: and pyroname: in lowercase in URIs
 - many unit tests improvements, mainly for ironpython and jython

The main new feature of this release is the support of different serializers at the
same time in Pyro daemons. This means you can make a deamon accept more than just one
specific serializer, it will respond to the client with whatever serialization format
that client used. You control this with the SERIALIZERS_ACCEPTED config item, which
defaults to the three 'safe' serializers that Pyro supports.

Note that the wire protocol header has once again been changed in a non-backwards
compatible way. It had to carry a new control byte to support the multi-serializer
messaging and I took the liberty to overhaul it some more. The new wire protocol
version is 46. You will have to upgrade all Pyro installations; older versions won't
be able to talk to 4.22 and vice versa. I'm sorry about that, but I do think the new
header format is a big improvement. It is smaller and at the same time is extensible
to add new stuff to it later. I expect this new header format to be stable for quite a
long time. For implementation details see the new Pyro4.message module. I will update
the Pyrolite library to this new protocol version as well.

As usual the complete change log can be found in the documentation.

Have fun!
