Stop/Start nameserver

Hi List, We have a setup where the Pyro name server is started using supervisor. Now it looks as if stopping the nameserver does not immediately free the port. So that when one does a restart of supervisor, the nameserver refuses to start because the port is stil in use. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Or should I look somewhere else?? D.
