Based on the abrupt, shadow-less edges on the bottom and right hand 
sides of the edit and memo boxes, it seems like there's a ... what the 
VCL calls a Panel ... that contains the controls that didn't expand to 
match the size of the main frame. I can easily see how anchoring/sizing 
could unintentionally be different on Mac OS than Win32.

That said, I don't know anything specific about it and don't really know 
if the above helps. Just offering it on the off chance that it will.
