You have to add it to the resource file by hand. For an example take a 
look at the simpleGrid sample shipped with PythonCard, where it is 
included in the resource file as;

"""
    { 'type':'Grid',
       'name':'mygrid',
       'position':(0, 0),
       'size':(400, 300),

"""
