Bug in Calendar.py October !!!

CALENDAR.PY appears to be just a wrapper of the wxPython Calendar widget.  If there is a bug, then I suspect it's a bug in wxPython.  Google for a native wxPython Calendar sample and run it to see if the bug exists or not.  If so, you have to report that to the wxPython folks.
