merged/closed #1238 (whitespace regression), #1314 (clickable button), #1311 (recursion), #1244 (positive feedback when sending), #1293 (auto draft saving continues), fixed up/put up for review #1236 (people tab) & #1188 (group spam action) (which also fixes #1290 - multiple selection).  finished #1313 (more detail).

get #1313 reviewed, bugfixes.
i'd like to get to either IE compatability or removing the onresize stuff from xquotient (which is causing the slowdown on machines with low-end graphics cards), because i think they're the most important ship critical issues i have.
