It's not stagnant, I use Formal everyday and add to it when necessary
although I haven't needed to do much to it recently.

If it looks stagnant it's because I'm just really bad at doing any
"official" releases :-/. I also have very limited time to run the
project effectively.

Formal currently suffers (in terms of Ajax goodness) because its API is
a bit too high level; it expects to be part of the rendering process
more than it should.

I don't think it's a massive amount of work to fix that but I don't have
a plan right now. It basically comes down to making a form more
standalone. This is something I really want to get sorted sometime!
