How to include maths formulas in pdf

Hello,

I need to include maths formulas in PDFs.

How can I do that knowing that I'd like to avoid using an external website 
such as mathtran (see 
http://two.pairlist.net/pipermail/reportlab-users/2007-July/006154.html) ?
