Re: Asterisks in barcode human readable text

Many thanks.  I agree, it's human-readable so let's be permissive.

Our chief engineer, Robin, will hopefully be able to review and
approve this before the end of the week.  I am hoping we can find time
to get a pypi release out before the end of April.
