Hi everyone,

Thank you for the proposal Stéfan. We discussed this today during our meeting and that would be great! (I think I can do it myself, let’s discuss details offline.)

The one thing we are going to make clear is that these spaces (Discuss, Discord, SO) do not bring any guarantees in terms of support nor maintainers’ availability. At least for now, only the mailing list, GitHub and Slack bring a sort of official support.

As for the retirement of SciPy-Users, more maintainers gave their +1 during the meeting. Hence I will follow up with the owner of the list (Matti I think) and we will make it read-only. We are also going to see if we can have an automatic response if someone post to this list. The response would point out to our other spaces.

Cheers,
Pamphile

As for general questions, there is always StackOverflow. i.e. we still have many options and reducing the scope a bit will, IMHO, help everyone keep track of things.
