In the PR, first benchmark results are now available: see here <https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/13037588/239767398-d6219ce2-7404-4859-85d4-fde2611de905.png> . To me, the proposed algorithm looks competitive, so from my side there is +1 for this addition. Any other opinions?
