Hi all,

On behalf of the Statsmodels development team I'm pleased to announce the
availability of Statsmodels 0.10.0
<https://github.com/statsmodels/statsmodels/releases/tag/v0.10.0>. This
release contains some exciting new features (see highlights below) and more
than a years' worth of maintenance work. 59 people contributed to this
release.

Source tarballs and windows/mac/linux wheels are available on PyPI
<https://pypi.org/project/statsmodels/0.10.0/>. Conda packages are
available on the default <https://anaconda.org/anaconda/statsmodels> and
conda-forge <https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/statsmodels> channels.

This release requires Python 2.7 or 3.4-3.7 and will be the last release to
officially support Python 2.7.

Highlights of this release include:

- Generalized Additive Models. This major feature is experimental and may
change.
- Conditional Models such as ConditionalLogit, which are known as fixed
effect models in Econometrics.
- Dimension Reduction Methods include Sliced Inverse Regression, Principal
Hessian Directions and Sliced Avg. Variance - Estimation
- Regression using Quadratic Inference Functions (QIF)
- Gaussian Process Regression

See the release notes
<https://www.statsmodels.org/stable/release/version0.10.html> for a full
list of all the changes.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this release,
Chad
