The find in files tab behaves strange; if I use it more than once in one session, the results gets mixed, even if I click "Clear"; there's also some scroll bar issues (partly invisible or unclickable scroll bar). Example: I enter some word to find; set the path to my project path and click "Find in files" - works fine. Then I click "Clear", enter another word and click "Find in files" again. If I click in the list of found entries, I often get entries from the first search; also if I click in empty lines. Same behaviour without "Clear"; the tabs mix their results. Just double click to fold and unfold. In order to sav= e place the root is not shown anymore. Now I changed the code of SPE to let i= t unfold with one mouse click, so you dont have to double click anymore. With right click you can jump to the source. The explanation about the SVN repositry is here: http://developer.berlios.de/svn/?group_id=4161 But you should use this path instead (maybe that's the problem): svn://svn.berlios.de/python/spe/trunk > When I wrote some docstrings (and also the code) I see that the cpu > usage are always at 100%. I don't know if this is because I'm editing a > "big" file (150 Kb), but it's so annoying to wait the computer... :) Thanks, I added this to the FAQ. The answer is: SPE is targeted at average Python files which are normally not that big. With large files it is recommended to change your preferences. SPE compiles your code as you type to check for errors. This is responsible for the majority of CPU load. So set 'Check realtime with' to 'none'. See if this is sufficient. If not, set update sidebar to 'when clicked'. If you don't need autcompletion, you can also turn that feature off. You can find all these options in the preferences dialog, under the 'Editor' tab. > Another little question: can you add the useful feature, like that > present on Boa, that show the docstring when press Ctrl-Shift-Space. A trick for now is to type "(" Stani -- http://pythonide.stani.be http://pythonide.stani.be/manual/html/manual.html --__--__-- Message: 5 Date: Wed, 14 Dec 2005 22:38:29 +0100 From: Karl-Heinz Glahe <[email protected]> To: python-spe-users-tdrK/[email protected] Subject: Re: [spe-users] Class Browser in 0.8.1.b Reply-To: [email protected] SPE Stani's Python Editor wrote: > Hi Karl, > > They are not missing.
